Team Berne: The Scholars from 1450 to 1550
In the first phase of the project, the team at the University of Berne is dealing with the period between 1450 and 1550. Currently the main task is to evaluate the edited matriculas and graduation lists of the universities of the Holy Roman Empire. From 2010 onwards, later phases of the project (modules) will focus on varying regions looking into the careers of the graduated scholars.
The work on the Repertorium started in 2001. Since January 2007 the project is financed by the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities, in the preceding years it was supported by the SNF. The Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences supports the project with a board of trustees.
