Team Gießen:
The Scholars until 1450

The team at the University of Gießen is dealing with the period between 1250 and 1450 AD. Rather than chronologically, the work is being pursued pragmatically, beginning with the evaluation of the matriculas and graduation lists of the universities in the Holy Roman Empire. From 2010 onwards, later phases of the project (modules) will focus on varying regions looking into the careers of the graduated scholars.

In Gießen, work at the Repertorium began in October 2002 under the direction of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Peter Moraw. The project is institutionally based at the Historical Commission at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and currently financed by the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities.
